Sajida

In this body map, I drew myself and the main thing is my painting is religion. I like worshipping. I must do my prayers five times a day. My faith is about change whether by me or through my children I believe change will be attained. The title for my drawing ‘Sijida.’ means the fear of God. My culture is separate from my religion and I do not adhere to it more than my religion. Religion has been key to me since childhood, even those times that I spent working on the ship. While working in shipping, I used to lead the prayers. I was the Imam in the ship. So religion is in my blood.
